Paris Fashion Week is a true treasure trove of creative inspiration, and yesterday was no exception, with the extraordinary collections of Acne Studios, Balmain, and Courrèges lighting up the catwalks on the second day of shows.
Acne Studios
Denim and leather have always been the beating heart of Acne Studios, and this time was no different. Jonny Johansson, the creative mind behind the brand, brought these iconic materials back into the spotlight, drawing inspiration from art and mechanics to create bold and extremely innovative pieces. Treated denim, strapless dresses, and sharply tailored jackets dominated the runway, along with original accessories that are unique in their own right – with and without studs.
Balmain
Olivier Rousteing dedicated an entire collection to his hometown, Bordeaux, for the first time in 13 years, in a touching homage to his childhood and adoptive family. The Cru Bourgeois wines of Bordeaux inspired a collection rich in elegant drapery, paired with grape cluster motifs and luxurious fabrics. Reimagined trenches, leather jackets, and evening dresses took center stage, with bold details and buttons that add the distinctive touch of the historic Maison.
Courrèges
Nicholas di Felice presented a collection infused with sensuality and intimacy, featuring garments that evoke desire and elegance. Inspiration came from the world of fashion and Parisian eroticism, with enveloping dresses and suggestive details that hint without fully revealing. Strategically placed pockets and latex details paid homage to the brand’s past, while bold cuts and provocative accessories transported the collection into the future of Parisian fashion.
In summary, the second day of Paris Fashion Week offered a spectacle of creativity, innovation, and extreme sensuality, with the collections of these brands capturing the hearts and minds of all present – both virtual and physical.
